What is AI trading software?
AI trading software connects to your brokerage or exchange account and places trades for you, using models that read the market and adjust to it, inside limits you set. It is a tool you direct: you pick the strategies and the capital, and you switch it on or off.
Many tools wear an AI label
A lot of what is sold as AI is a fixed rule with a new name: a grid, a moving-average cross, a list of signals. The test is simple. Does the software read conditions and change what it does, or does it loop the same rule until you change it? Ask that question before you pay for anything, and ask it of us too.
What is different here
AutoCoin runs named strategies that read trend, momentum and market regime, and size their positions to what they read. There is no rule-building step and no code to write. You choose which strategies run, how much capital each one gets and when they switch off.
A tool you direct
The software acts only on the strategies, capital and limits you set, and only while you have it switched on. It is self-directed: your account, your keys, your decision. It is not a service that manages money for you, and it never holds your funds.
Four types of tool at a glance
- Who decides
- You place every trade
- Where the money sits
- Your account
- How it behaves
- Ideas and alerts, and you stay at the screen
- Who decides
- Your fixed rules
- Where the money sits
- Your account, or the platform's
- How it behaves
- Loops the same rule until you change it
- Who decides
- The software, inside your limits
- Where the money sits
- Your own account
- How it behaves
- Reads conditions and adjusts, and runs without you at the screen
- Who decides
- The firm's allocation
- Where the money sits
- With the firm
- How it behaves
- Passive and long-term, and charges a percentage of assets
Which markets does it cover?
It covers four markets: stocks first, then crypto, forex and gold, all under the same account and the same dashboard.
Stocks
Strategies run in your own brokerage: Alpaca, Tradier, eToro or Public.com, including Roth and Traditional IRAs through Public. Trade-only access, and the assets never leave your account.
Crypto
Strategies run around the clock across 10+ exchanges, in your own exchange account, with trade-only keys that cannot withdraw.
Forex
Free forex software for traders outside the US, running in your own broker account. The same record, the same switch, nothing to pay.
Gold
Gold is live, running in your own account with the same trade-only access. More commodities are coming.
How does AI trading software work?
1. Connect with a trade-only key
AI trading software works in three steps: connect with a trade-only key, choose strategies and limits, then switch it on. First, create a trade-only key at your brokerage or exchange and paste it into AutoCoin. The software can place orders. It can never withdraw or move funds out, and your assets stay in your account, in your name.
2. Choose strategies and limits
Pick the strategies you want, set the capital each one gets and the limits that matter to you. If you would like to watch it work first, start in demo, which is simulated trading.
3. Switch it on, and off whenever you like
Turn it on and it runs to your settings: during market hours for stocks, around the clock for crypto. Pause it, change it or revoke the key at any moment. You never depend on AutoCoin to get your money out.
What should you ask before using AI trading software?
These four questions sort real software from marketing, whoever the vendor is.
Does it place trades, or only show ideas?
Both are legitimate, and they are different jobs. Signal tools hand you things to look at while you stay in the driving seat. Execution software acts on the settings you chose. Know which one you are buying.
Who holds the money?
Software that connects to a brokerage or exchange account in your own name is a different risk from software that asks you to deposit with it first. Ask what permissions the software gets. Trade-only means it can place orders and cannot withdraw.
Can you verify the results without trusting the company?
Screenshots, win rates and backtest charts are easy to flatter. A better test is whether a stranger could recompute the published results from public data. Be wary of any record that only the company can audit.
Can you switch it off in seconds?
You should be able to pause the software, change the settings or revoke the key at any moment, without asking anyone and without waiting. If leaving is hard, that tells you something about the product.
What does AI trading software do, and what does it not?
What it does
It reads market conditions, picks up the signals its strategies are built on, sizes positions to what it reads and places orders in your account within the limits you set. It runs during market hours for stocks and around the clock for crypto, so you do not have to sit at the screen.
What it does not do
It does not predict the future, and it does not promise a result. That is why you set the limits yourself and why the record shows what actually ran. It also does not hold your money or make decisions outside the settings you chose.
What stays with you
The account, the keys, the capital, the choice of strategies and the off switch. AutoCoin is the software you direct, and you remain in control of all of it.
Can you verify the results?
Yes. Anyone can post a screenshot, but we publish a record a stranger can recompute.
Signed, chained and anchored
Each day's results are hashed and signed, chained to the previous day, and anchored on the Base blockchain. If one number were changed after the fact, the chain would break and the verifier would show it.
Open numbers, no cherry-picked window
The live view shows what the software is doing now, with the history behind it. No hand-picked date range, and no leaderboard that nobody outside the company can audit.
How the verification works
The verified results page explains each step in plain language, including how to recompute a day yourself in your browser. We show what the record shows. Trading involves risk, and past results do not guarantee future results.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI trading bot?
AI trading software places trades in your own brokerage or exchange account, using models that read the market and adjust to it inside limits you set. AutoCoin's version is self-directed: you choose the strategies and the capital, and you switch it on or off at any time. It covers stocks, crypto, forex and gold under one membership.
Do AI trading bots actually work?
Some do and many do not, and the only fair test is a record you can check. Plenty of products sold as AI are fixed rules with a new label. AutoCoin signs each day's results, chains them together and anchors them on a public blockchain, so anyone can recompute them at autocoin.ai/live/verify. Judge the record, not the marketing.
Is there an AI that will trade stocks for me?
Yes. AutoCoin runs AI stock strategies inside your own brokerage account: Alpaca, Tradier, eToro or Public.com, including Roth and Traditional IRAs through Public. You pick the strategies and the capital, and the software places the orders within your limits. You keep custody, and you can switch it off at any time.
Is AI trading software safe to connect to my account?
Yes, when it connects with a trade-only key, because the software can place orders but can never withdraw or move funds out. Your assets stay in your own account, in your name, and you can revoke the key or switch the software off in seconds. AutoCoin LLC is a FinCEN-registered Florida company. Trading carries risk, so start in demo.
Which AI trading software is best for beginners?
The best fit has a demo mode, limits you set yourself and trade-only access. AutoCoin has all three. Start free for 7 days, run a strategy in demo, then connect a brokerage when you are ready. The beginner guide walks through the first week step by step.
How much does AI trading software cost?
AutoCoin has two options. Lifetime: free for 7 days, then $999 once for lifetime access (limited spots at this price). Or Monthly at $149 a month. Other tools publish subscriptions from about $20 to $299 a month, as published in July 2026, and our comparison page lists each one.
Can I use AI trading software inside an IRA?
Yes, if it connects to a brokerage that offers API access on retirement accounts. AutoCoin connects to Public.com for Roth IRA and Traditional IRA accounts. The usual IRS rules for retirement accounts still apply, which means no margin and no short selling. You keep the account in your own name.
What is the difference between AI trading software and a robo-advisor?
A robo-advisor builds and rebalances a long-term allocation for you and charges a percentage of your assets every year. AI trading software runs active strategies in your own account, and you choose the strategies, the capital and the limits. One is passive and managed for you. The other is a self-directed tool you switch on and off.
Can I build my own AI trading bot with ChatGPT or Claude?
You can get a first version running in a weekend. The hard part is everything around it: order handling, risk limits, monitoring, hosting and fixing problems while markets are open. Building suits people who enjoy it. If you would rather switch tested strategies on in your own account, ready software saves the time.
How do I spot an AI trading scam?
Watch for promised or fixed returns, a record that is only screenshots, pressure to deposit with the vendor instead of your own account, and no named company or people. Then verify. With AutoCoin you can check the company registration, use a trade-only key that cannot withdraw, and recompute the daily signed results yourself.
